Whitehills Harbour & Marina

The former fishing port of Whitehills was changed to a marina in 2000 due to the downturn in the fishing industry and the rising popularity of leisure sailing.

Whitehills is unique as it is the only harbour catering for leisure sailors that is accessible for all but very large boats at all states of the tide. There is always a minimum depth of 1.5 metres at the lowest spring tides, whereas all other harbours, except the main commercial harbours, dry out at low tide.

We have 50 berths in the inner basin, almost all of which are taken by permanent berth-holders, with any others used as visitors' berths at busy times. There is a 56 metre long pontoon in the outer basin with a minimum depth of 2 metres alongside which is used for the main visitor berthing.

All berths have drinking water and electricity available. Onshore there is a building housing toilets, showers, laundry and crew room where tea, coffee and biscuits are available. Gas and diesel and Wi-Fi connection are also available.

All details are available on our website.

Tie up your ocean going vessel at Whitehills Marina

Whitehills Harbour has transformed itself from a highly successful commercial fishing port to one of the friendliest and most popular small marinas on the Moray Firth, offering 50 fully serviced pontoon berths, as well as plenty of visitor berths. Whitehills itself is a lively village with plenty of local amenities, and serves as a great base for exploring the rest of Banffshire and the north east.

Whitehills Marina becomes the 1st in the UK to receive Gold Anchor Award

The team at the Whitehills Marina is celebrating this top award from The Yacht Harbour Association; the marina is not only the first self-assessed gold anchor marina on the Moray coast, but also in the UK - having satisfied the Association of high standards in facilities, customer service and regulatory requirements.
