Duff House surrounds will bloom as floral wonderland
Duff House is one of three estates in Aberdeenshire which will come alive as floral winter wonderlands over the next weeks as part of VisitScotland's 7th Annual Snowdrop Festival, which runs until the middle of March.
Duff House is one of the best locations in the north-east to see the wonderful array of this year's spring snowdrops. The festival is staged to remind people of the beauty of Scotland in the winter months and is a welcome boost for gardens, woodlands and the surrounding tourism businesses as the industry goes through its traditionally quieter months.
The Year of Natural Scotland will help enhance Aberdeenshire's reputation as a place for outstanding natural beauty, a stunning and easily-accessible place for active pursuits and the perfect stage for outdoor events and festivals.
The versatility of the snowdrop means that they grow in a wide range of locations and people can see more than 300 varieties of this delicate white flower.
