Glenglassaugh Distillery releases new malt
The Benriach Distillery Company, which bought Glenglassaugh in March, has released its first new bottling from the Portsoy distillery since the takeover - a 30-year-old single malt.
Glenglassaugh 30YO was unveiled recently - a 44.8% volume single malt described as a "magnificent and very special Highland single malt" - amber in colour, with a rich, complex and full nose featuring luxurious tropical fruits of peach, mango and banana, complemented with sultanas, sherry and gentle oak spice.
This release is the first of a number of planned developments in response to strong demand for Glenglassaugh in global markets.
