Duff House debut for a master of the Renaissance
An exhibition charting the work and influence of one of the world's most celebrated artists has gone on display in Duff House in Banff for the first time.
"Durer's Fame" showcases the work of the acclaimed German Renaissance artist, Albrecht Durer - recognised as the most important artist of his era and one of the most celebrated artists of all time - best known for his technical excellence and highly distinctive print-making style.
The exhibition displays some of his most iconic works for the first time in the North-East of Scotland, and explores his legacy, including his influence on Scottish artists, with examples of their work on display alongside those of Italian and Dutch artists.
The exhibition runs until Sunday 13th July 2014.
