Festival turns focus on Gamrie's artistic talent
The creativity of artists in Gardenstown will be celebrated at a mini festival in the village - from 7th to 10th August 2014.
Gamrie Creatives started with a chat between local artists and designers who saw the opportunity to display their diverse skills in the village. The group has a dozen artisans who will be exhibiting their work over the weekend; and this will be the first of an ongoing mini festival in Gardenstown.
There will be exhibition venues around the village, all well mapped out in a leaflet, with a trail showing visitors what is where and how to get there. There will be pottery, textiles, jewellery, paintings and prints, painted furniture, and photographs. There will also be activities, art workshops, an evening talk about art and a creative writing session. There are also places to have lovely food and enjoy the stunning surroundings.
The group, who all live and/or work in the village, are inspired by the beauty and often wild nature of the Banffshire Coast.

Weekend leaflets and maps can be found at local tourist offices and shops, and can be downloaded here.
