Bright Coast - Exhibition by Bryan Angus

An exhibition of new work by landscape artist Bryan Angus is to go on display at Duff House.

Specialising in lino printing, Bryan's pictures explore the weather conditions and natural light experienced on the Banffshire Coast.  They have been created to demonstrate the beauty and quality of natural light this region of Scotland benefits from at a particular time of year, whilst capturing the dramatic coastal landscape.  The exhibition will present new interpretations of some familiar viewpoints, as well as a wonderful opportunity to view and explore the dramatic coastal landscape of the region.

Bright Coast opens at Duff House on Saturday 18th July 2015 and will run until Sunday 30th August; entry is included within the admission price to Duff House (free to Historic Scotland members).

A graduate from Gray's School of Art, Bryan went on to establish the Creative Retreat in Gardenstown.  With accommodation and studio spaces, it is a place for artists to escape to and where Bryan and other artists teach residential art courses.

The images Bryan creates, often only using two colours, portray the villages and sea edge of the fishing villages and towns near his home - Banff, Gardenstown, Macduff, Penan, Sandend and Cullen.
