A dram fine achievement

Glenglassaugh Distillery near Portsoy has scooped a gold medal for its 30 Years Old single malt whisky at this year's International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) - an internationally recognised badge of quality.  The local firm also picked up silver medals for its Revival, Torfa and Evolution expressions.

The Glenglassaugh 30 Years Old was the first release from the distillery after BenRiach took over the distillery in 2013, and has been critically acclaimed in all the company's markets.

Owners BenRiach Distilery Company won 10 medals in total, including 2 gold and 4 silver outstanding, across its three brands, which also include GlenDronach and BenRiach.  Rounding off the excellent performance at the awards, the company was again shortlisted for the 2015 UK Spirits Producer award.

It is a huge achievement for a small independent to make the UK spirits producer shortlist in the company of global companies.
