Its Fraserburgh Super Saturday this Saturday!
The countdown is on for Fraserburgh Super Saturdays Festive Fun event.
With only days to go, the Super Saturdays Festive Fun event is sure to be a hit with locals. Organisers have plenty of festive fun in store for all ages including an all-weather bouncy castle, a Santa’s parade and grotto run by the local RNLI, a Christmas theme treasure hunt, an Owl display and face painting.
And if that’s not enough there will also be musical performances by Broch Drama Group, Killer Heels, The Salvation Army Band, Lauren Baird all topped off with dancing by KDance.
The Festive Fun event will also feature more than 40 local traders selling an array of Christmas gift ideas, flowers and wreaths, homeware, sweet treats and delicious food.
Super Saturdays Co-ordinator, Leona Findlay said: “We are all super excited about this weekend’s event. We have a varied and busy day in store for locals and visitors and it’s a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done while keeping the kids entertained and supporting the town’s businesses and local traders. Many of the shops, restaurants and businesses have some great offers on in store to coincide with Super Saturdays so it really is an excellent time to indulge in some retail therapy or to tick items off your Christmas shopping list.
She added: “And if you haven’t had time to order your Christmas dinner yet, then there’s no need to panic as you can get it all done at Super Saturdays and save yourself some pennies too. We have a great selection of food stalls attending the market who will be selling festive food and taking Christmas orders and many have special offers too.”
The festive fun will kick off at 10am until 3.30pm.
Super Saturdays is a partnership project, involving the local community, Aberdeenshire Council and Fraserburgh Development Trust.
Following the initial pilot scheme of four events held in 2013, the community project secured funding from Fraserburgh Regeneration Strategy Group for a program of events to deliver six themed events each year. Next year’s events will take place on 13 May, 10th June, 8 July, 12 August, 9th September and 9th December.
