Fraserburgh folk are counting down the days until the town’s biggest event of the year – Frozen Fraserburgh, featuring a FREE ice rink.

At the start of the year, Fraserburgh Super Saturdays joined forces with Fraserburgh Rotary Club and local businesses to raise funds to bring an ice rink to the town centre.

The festive event will kick off at 4pm on Friday, December 8th when Santa will officially open the ice rink which will be free for everyone to use.

Santa will then jump on his new sleigh at 6pm from the British Legion carpark and take part in a parade around the town centre.

AS well as an ice rink, the festive late night event will also feature children’s attractions, music, food and refreshments as well as lots of Christmas offers from local shops and restaurants.

The next day (Saturday, December 9), the Frozen Fraserburgh Super Saturdays event will be officially opened by The Salvation Army band and Churches together who will perform at 10am. At around 10.45am Santa will be piped into the town centre by the local pipe band, with the ice rink as the main attraction for the day.

The event will feature the RNLI Santa's grotto, along with a wealth of stalls bringing lots of inspirational gift ideas, a fantastic selection of street food, live music, a disco dome and much more.
